Edelstein Celebrates 50- Our Firm Growth
This is an exciting time to reflect on our firm growth. With the release of the annual Boston Business Journal Book of Lists, we eagerly reflect upon where our firm has come from and envision what the future has in store. As it is our 50th year, we wanted to reflect back on our growth as a firm over the years.
We are excited to announce that we were named the 2oth Largest Accounting Firm in Massachusetts in the Boston Business Journal’s 2018 Book of Lists. The data analyzed for this list includes, total number of employees in the state, total number of CPAs in the state, total number of partners in the state as well as number of offices. Of the top 20 firms, we are the only firm with one office in total. We are proud to be considered one of the top firms in the state.
Another accolade that we are proud of is being selected as a Best of the Best Firm by Inside Public Accounting (IPA) in both 2014 and 2017. This recognition honors 50 CPA firms across the country for their management and superior operational performance based on more than 70 criteria. Additionally in 2017, we were recognized as a Top 200 Firm in the nation (#190). This definitive list was developed by gathering information from nearly 600 firms that completed IPA’s Survey and Analysis of Firms. In 2016, we appeared on the Top 200 list for the first time with our ranking of #192.
As we continue to grow as a firm, it remains of utmost importance that we manage our growth. Though our headcount has changed (nearly doubled over the last eight years!), our approach hasn’t. Our founders set a precedent for a smart, collaborative, hard-working and friendly environment. Today, we continue to be known for our personable, can-do attitude. As a firm founded by a sole-practitioner, we’re proud to have the opportunity to reflect back on 50 years of development as a firm and our nearing 100 staff headcount!
Stay tuned for continued monthly 50th-focused blog posts. Last month, we talked about our intentions for the year and scheduled celebrations.
