On January 10, 2019, Edelstein’s Women’s Initiative hosted the Stories of Growth panel in which the entire firm was invited to attend and hear three speakers share the personal and professional ways they’ve positioned themselves to succeed.  They touched on goals, inspirations, forging career paths, and how they came to be in the roles they are today.  Our event took place at One Financial Center.

Our speakers included Bridget Akinc, Emily Reichert and Glynis Ritchie.  Bridget is the CEO of Building Impact, Emily is the CEO of Greentown Labs and Glynis is a Senior Associate at Day Pitney.

The over 40 attendees had the opportunity to hear directly from these engaging speakers about their experiences and learned that the journey is rarely, if ever, a straight line. In the panel portion of the event, Bridget, Emily and Glynis addressed goals they are currently working on, how they track/maintain those goals, and specific mentors that have had a unique impact on them.

After the speaking portion of the event, we had a wonderful time (and a wonderful view of the city!) networking with one another during a cocktail reception.  Our colleagues leveraged the time to connect with one another while also being able to ask questions and network with our enlightening speakers.

We value the stories that our speakers shared and look forward to applying their insights into our 2019 goals.
