Massachusetts Announces Grant Program for Small Businesses

On Thursday October 22, 2020, Massachusetts Governor Charlie Baker announced $50.8 million in grants for small businesses as part of the state’s COVID-19 recovery plan. The funds will be administered by the Massachusetts Growth Capital Corporation to businesses who have dealt with the economic impacts of COVID-19. Businesses with 6 to 50 employees will be eligible for grants of up to $75,000 each and smaller businesses can get up to $25,000. Applications will be accepted until November 12, 2020.

There will be preference given, including but not limited to, businesses who have been most negatively impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic and those who have not been able to receive aid from other federal programs related to COVID-19.
