Principal Promotion Spotlight: Jesse Gillett

At our annual State of the Firm meeting in November, we announced the promotion of business valuation manager, Jesse Gillett, to the principal level.

Prior to joining Edelstein & Company in 2015, Jesse was a consultant at a boutique business advisory and forensic accounting firm in Boston and he began his career in the Providence office of a big four public accounting firm in its audit practice.

Jesse serves his clients in a variety of ways including commercial and Litigation Related Business Valuations, Financial Modeling and Business Planning Engagements, Post-Acquisition Disputes, Analysis of Financial Damages, and Fraud Investigations.  Particularly in 2017, Jesse has handled a variety of shareholder matters working separately for buyers and sellers, as well as in a neutral joint advisor capacity, spanning industries such as asset management, scientific research, and plastic manufacturing among others.  Jesse is a thought leader who has written several articles, and has lead trainings for attorneys and coworkers on various business valuation and financial accounting related topics.  Namely, Jesse was published in Bloomberg BNA with his article Working Capital and Deals: Lessons Learned in the Field and he has started a bi-annual Asset Management Industry Update.  He can also be seen in the Valuation team’s Video Education Series which touches on a variety of business valuation topics.

On his promotion, Gillet said, “I have been ready to ramp up the next stage of my career, and so to me this promotion represents the firm’s strong backing and acknowledgement of that.   It is an honor to become a member of the leadership team at Edelstein, and as my closest colleagues may already imagine, I will continue to strive for long-term transformative efforts both at the practice and firm level.”

Valuation partner Marc Bello said, “Professionally, Jesse has taken his career to the next level, internally from a department standpoint he has contributed to over hauling our valuation model, heads up team meetings and implements internal trainings. From a client service perspective, Jesse ensures deadlines are met and he can handle the most difficult situations with professionalism.  It is with great honor to introduce Jesse as a principal.”

Congratulations, Jesse!
