Principal Promotion Spotlight: Robert DiBari and Danielle McDonagh

At our annual State of the Firm meeting in November, we announced the promotions of restaurant group manager, Robert (Bob) DiBari & healthcare manager, Danielle McDonagh, to the principal level, effective January 1, 2021. Edelstein was fortunate enough to add both of these team members in 2012 with current Edelstein principal, Bob O’Connor, and partner, Tim O’Connor, when Baker O’Connor, LLC was merged in. This is what Tim had to say about the announcement,

Bob’s promotion is well deserved. We have worked together for ten years and over that time we have been through a lot. Through all the challenges and difficulties, we have had a lot of fun growing and developing our business. I appreciate all of Bob’s hard work and dedication. I could not be where I am today without him as a team member”

In addition to assisting clients with tax reporting and financial statement preparation, Bob has developed an interest in consulting with clients in the food and beverage, manufacturing, and retail industries. Clients who work with Bob appreciate the application of an industry-specific focus on improving business operations and profit margins. Bob’s attention to clients’ success results in strong, lasting relationships with open communication. His entrepreneurial way of thinking allows Bob to solve problems creatively.

When Bob was asked about his thoughts on the promotion, here is what he had to say,

I am looking forward to my new role as principal here at Edelstein. I thank all of my teammates for their support over the years and I’m excited for this opportunity.”

When asked to comment on her promotion, healthcare partner Bill Mahoney spoke highly of Danielle,

We are very excited to have Danielle as a principal in our department. She is a great team player and I’ve had the privilege of working on clients with her since she was an associate. Danielle has a great attitude, she is a great person to work with, stays positive, and is always helping others. She exemplifies leadership skills and it has been so exciting to see her grow into this leadership position.”

Danielle assists physicians and medical practice administrators. They regard her as a go-to person for accounting and tax questions. Danielle is passionate about cultivating strong relationships, which is evident in the way she works with each client personally. As an involved member of our firm, Danielle is co-chair of both the Community Service Committee and the Women’s Initiative Committee.

When Danielle was asked about her thoughts on the promotion, this is what she had to say,

The guidance and support I have received from my team members has been crucial in my career progression. I am grateful for all of those people, many who have been there from the beginning, and look forward to continuing this journey with Edelstein. I am invigorated by our growth and look forward to playing a larger role in shaping this firm.”
